The Finance Ministers of the member countries have a designated Focal Point (FP) whose main task is to liaise with the HoAI Secretariat on issues relating to implementation of the HoAI-related activities and to ensure coordination of stakeholders at the national level. The FPs are designated by the respective Finance Ministers and carry out their HoAI functions in addition to their daily duties.
The FPs are supported by one National Advisor in each member country. These are sponsored by the African Development Bank. The National Advisor in each member country works in close collaboration with the FPs and supports the implementation of HoAI activities .
