The 19th Ministerial Roundtable of the Horn of Africa Initiative (HoAI) occurred in Brussels on December 15th, 2023. Finance Ministers from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Eritrea, co-chaired by H.E. Mr Ahmed Shide and Mr. Margaritis Schinas, aimed to enhance regional digital policies and attract investments from Development Finance Institutions and the private sector.

Discussions included last-mile connectivity, soft infrastructure, and ICT skills. A post-ministerial roundtable involved collaboration with private sector representatives and European DFIs, fostering regional development and digital integration.
